Welcome! and listen to us on NEPM with the Fabulous 413

Hello friends,

We are kicking off our very first blog on our brand new website today!

We have some exciting news to share. This week we were interviewed by Monte Belmonte and Kaliis Smith of The Fabulous 413, a daily live radio show and podcast on NEPM (New England Public Media, our local NPR station at 88.5) celebrating life in Western Mass. Deep appreciation to CISA (Community Involved in Sustaining Agriculture - they provide support to farms in Western MA and we are members!) for their support in making this happen, and to Ariana Williams, one of our farm share members, and Richard Andrews, a recent farm volunteer, for addiing their voices and insights.

The show highlights many facets of the farm including the connections we see between farming and organizing for racial justice in our food system, why we love growing cultural crops, how urban farms are so important for communities like Springfield, the farm's connection to public and mental health, and how we got started with the farm. It was fun to do (we laughed alot!) and an honor to be on the show.
